A horrific accident involving a truck and a minibus taxi has resulted in two deaths. The crash occurred on the N3 in Ashburton, KwaZulu-Natal. Reports have said that the accident happened after the truck's container fell off and landed on the taxi.
The highway has been closed for emergency medical services to make their way there. Although two deaths were reported, 12 injuries ranging from minor to serious were also reported. The two deaths were from the fully loaded minibus taxi.
It has not yet been made clear what caused the container of the truck to fall or how it managed to land on the taxi.
According to News24, four of the 12 patients were seriously injured while eight suffered minor injuries. A Facebook post by eNCA confirmed that the truck and minibus taxi were travelling in the same direction.

@RobBreezy a South African traffic reporter shared the news with his followers on Twitter, also including in the tweet that the deadly crash had left one person dead and several others critically injured.
"KZN / Free State - N3 Van Reenen's Pass (Update): #BusCrash #TruckCrash 1 Fatality so far, 2 Critical and 1 entrapped - 38 Minor injuries. ROAD CLOSED", he tweeted.
