A number of celebrities decided to make lockdown work to their advantage and embarked on weight loss journeys. Briefly.co.za composed a list of four celebrities who lost a significant amount of weight this year.
1. Busiswa Gqulu
Winter is a time of the year when most people gain weight but Busiswa challenged that stereotype. Busiswa shocked everyone when she showed up looking much leaner. She never made it known that she was on a journey to lose weight.
She took to Instagram wishing the EFF a happy birthday but social media users instead noticed how many kilos she had shed.
2. Boity Thulo
Boity has always been known for her exceptional curves. Just four months ago, the rapper shared that she was losing weight. She admitted that she had put on a few unwanted kilos but she worked super hard for her body to be snatched once again.
The Bakae hitmaker is looking sexy as ever in her toned body.
3. Mome Mahlangu
Mome Mahlangu inspired many when she showcased how much weight she had lost. She went from weighing 110kg to a tiny 64kg and has been maintaining the weight. Mome used lockdown to achieve her dream body.
“Wellness is choosing to better yourself inside and outside on a daily basis and making healthy choices to maintain a life with vitality,“ she said.
4. Busta Rhymes
Mzansi celebrities weren't the only ones who made a change this year. American rapper Busta Rhymes also shed a few kilos and inspired many with his weight loss. He worked hard to get rid of his belly and shared inspiring before-and-after photos of himself.
"Don't ever give up on yourself. Life begins right now!" said the rapper.
