Who will you vote for in the 2019 election and why? South Africans have their say

Although it's still early in the year, focus within political parties is increasingly shifting towards the 2019 national elections.

Voter registration drives are starting soon and parties are starting to plan their campaigns. Briefly.co.za therefore asked its readers which party they will vote for and why.

This question sparked interesting comments. It emerged that the ANC still commands plenty of support despite the challenges it has gone through.

Some cited old loyalties to the ANC as the reason for their choice:

Others said the ANC must get its house in order first before they can vote for it:

Interestingly, one ANC supporter even said he won't vote if Zuma was removed from office:

The DA was also a firm favourite for many commenters. Many of them expressed misgivings about both the ANC and EFF, while others simply wanted change.

The smaller political parties did not get much mention. Some commenters maintained that their vote is secret, while others expressed scepticism that all parties are no good.
