Award-winning singer Holly Rey has announced that she has been diagnosed with Covid-19. She took to social media to update her fans on her situation. She seems to be in high spirits despite the diagnosis and is confident that she will beat the virus.
Mzansi is currently in the second wave of Covid-19 infections, with the rate of cases skyrocketing daily. Holly said that she was feeling ill so she decided to make a trip to the doctor.
"I started having body aches and I was feeling a bit shaky and nauseous. On Monday I phoned my doctor and she sent me straight to have a Covid test which came back this morning as positive," she said.
Holly is a high-risk patient because she also has type 1 diabetes. She assured her fans that despite that, she is doing okay and she is only experiencing mild symptoms.
"My diabetes is well controlled my doctors are not too concerned. I have very mild symptoms and overall I am feeling good," said Holly.
She explained that she was extremely careful but she still contracted the virus. She said that she had been following all the lockdown regulations but her diagnosis is a reminder that the virus isn't going anywhere and everyone needs to be careful.
Covid-19 does not discriminate and is seemingly affecting even those who take extra health precautions.
“I hope everybody is staying safe and looking after themselves,” the Deeper hitmaker said.

Taking to social media to voice his opinion, Ndlozi explained that many weren't at work in any case:
"Now is the best time to put the country under lockdown Level 5, everyone is at home in any case and all tourism feeder countries have banned travels to SA."
