Prince Kaybee has been involved in a lot of twars with other Mzansi celebs in 2020. The award-winning musician was one of the most active South African celebs on Twitter.
The opinionated star didn't mince his words amid the Covid-19 pandemic. As much as he used his time on lockdown to create music, the Hosh hitmaker created a lot of enemies within the Mzansi entertainment industry. He didn't care how big of a celebrity some of the people he shaded on social media were.
Briefly.co.za reported on some of the twars that the musician was involved in this year. We've compiled three moments where Prince Kaybee traded jabs with other SA stars in 2020.
1. Black Coffee
Black Coffee shaded Kaybee after he weighed in on a twar DJ Euphonik had with a tweep named Koshiek Karan. Koshiek had lambasted Euphonik for encouraging peeps to buy property amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Prince Kaybee then shared his opinion on the matter. Kaybee dragged celebs who tried to sound intelligent "after consuming a few YouTube videos".
"The problem is that celebrities fall for the same trap all the time, 'the urge to sound wise'. You watch a few YouTube videos you, wanna sound intelligent. Carry on, you will meet your maker," Kaybee tweeted.
"Here’s a question without the 'urge of sounding intelligent,'... Are you a celebrity?"
2. DJ Maphorisa
Madumane took to social media to throw shade at Prince Kaybee. Phori took shots at the award-winning music producer after he released an Amapiano track titled Tlogela Piano. Kaybee trended a while back when he shared his "dislike" for the music genre.
Maphorisa, who has been pushing Amapiano since the genre took over the airwaves and dance floors in Mzansi, took to Twitter on Friday, 2 October to take a jibe at Kaybee. Phori wrote:
"So Princess is doing Amapiano? If you can't beat them you might as well join them."
3. Naak Musiq
Naak Musiq, whose real name is Anga Makubalo, decided to take Prince Kaybee on after he tried to claim his ranking above him on the social ladder. Naak felt he is leaps above Kaybee.
Briefly.co.za came across a post where Naak responded to Kaybee, schooling him on whips and reminding him that he had it waxed way before Kaybee could even shine.
It all started when Kaybee responded to Naak’s saucy snap of him standing next to his epic BMW. Kaybee felt it was a bit cheeky for Naak to post such a boastful snap.
In related news, Briefly.co.za reported that Prince Kaybee has revealed that he is no longer interested in working with Mzansi musician Busiswa again.
The two stars kept Mzansi on the dance floor with their smash hit Banomoya in 2018 but Kaybee is no longer keen to work with Busiswa. A tweep recently suggested that Busiswa was the only thing missing on a beat that Kaybee had shared on social media as part of his #PrinceKaybeeProducerChallenge.
The award-winning music producer was quick to switch off his beat after Busiswa's name was mentioned. Kaybee replied to the tweep with a huge "NAH".
