2020 has not been the best year but there were still some touching love stories that gave us chills, not the Covid-19 kind but the lovey-dovey kind.

1. Mzansi wowed by pics of a young couple's traditional wedding
A beautiful picture speaks a thousand words and this Mzansi couple's wedding pictures say it all. A proud cousin took to popular Facebook group #ImStaying to show off his family member's beautiful wedding photos.
The wedding pictures feature the smiling bride and groom who are all dressed up for the occasion in not one, but two different stunning traditional wedding outfits complete with hearts in their eyes and all.
2. Gorgeous couple's engagement photoshoot goes viral on social media
Time for some feel-good news! A gorgeous South African couple announced their engagement through four pictures uploaded to Twitter. The pictures of the couple have since gone viral as the Tweet sits on 8 000 likes and almost 1 000 retweets.

3. Mashaba joins couple's challenge, shares throwback photo with wife
Herman Mashaba and his wife, Connie, are one of Mzansi's power couples. The former Johannesburg mayor posted snaps of himself and his wife as part of a social media challenge.
Mashaba posted a photo of his wedding day to show "where it started" next to a photo of them now as part of the "where it's going" part.
Mashaba and Connie have been married for 37 years. The couple tied the knot when Herman was 22 and Connie 20. They are two of the most successful and influential people in South Africa.
4. True love: Elderly couple's reunion at a hospital goes viral
An elderly couple from Mitchells Plain shared a tender moment when they were reunited at a hospital. A video of the reunion was uploaded to Facebook by the couple's grandchild Aldeano LD Pablo Hoskin.
Aldeano captioned the video: "We surprised my grandpa today at hospital but he didn't expect to see my grandma. This is true love."
The video quickly went viral and has gained over 300 000 views, over 5 000 shares, over 5 500 reactions and 1 000 comments on the social networking site. The reunion is truly a moment of pure bliss and real love.
