Mboweni jokes that new shoes would be a welcome Chrismas gift

- Lesego Semenya recently suggested that someone should buy Tito Mboweni new shoes for Christmas

- The Finance Minister found the idea rather amusing and agreed that this would be a welcome gift

A person can't help but appreciate Tito Mboweni's old school, frugal ways especially when it comes to footwear.

The Finance Minister's worn-out old shoes often got Mzansi buzzing throughout the course of the past year.

The politician's questionable kicks got Lesego Semenya calling for someone to put a new pair of their shopping list for the Minister's Christmas gift:

"Hope someone bought new shoes as a Christmas gift in Magoebaskloof for a certain person."

The usually good-natured Minister seems open to the idea, sharing that the gift would be a welcome one:

Mboweni insisted that this brand and this brand only would suffice, explaining why online:

"Nothing less! I need strong and comfortable shoes as we walk together to rebuild our economy."

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za reported that SA Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni recently is a source of endless laughter and top-notch entertainment.

The minister once again took to Twitter to share a post that left Mzansi falling out of their seats from laughter.

This time Tito was once again posting about pilchards - this time ones that were so hot and spicy, that they left the minister with a face full of sweat.

In the caption of the hilarious post, Tito explained how the spicy meal had left him gasping for air because he added way too many chillies in it.

"The consequences of too many hot chillies in the Pilchards!! Hot!! Tjoooo!," Tito hilariously captioned the Twitter post.

Mzansi was once again left laughing until their bellies ached. Many of them took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Some of which you can read below.
