Sjava recently opened up about the meaning behind his song titled Emaweni. After a fan questioned the motivation that prompted the singer to pen the tune, he explained that it was about a situation involving a former lover.

He explained that he fell head-over-heels for a certain woman and even though he was warned, he continued to pursue her until things ended in tears.

Many assumed that the woman he was talking about was Lady Zamar. The pair allegedly dated before their relationship turned sour, resulting in Zamar accusing him of sexual assault.

It was reported that the case was declined for prosecution two weeks ago. According to the publication, Limpopo police spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe confirmed this.

“On November 5, the case docket was withdrawn by the director of public prosecutions at court."

The Sowetan further reported that NPA spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi said that the state declined to prosecute because it believed the evidence did not support a successful prosecution.

Sjava was accused of rape by musician ex Lady Zamar. According to Zamar, the incident happened in a hotel in Limpopo in 2017.

She opened a case at a police station last year after a public break-up from Sjava. Zamar, however, refuted claims of being in a romantic relationship with Sjava. She said that they were only getting to know each other.
