Mzansi media personality Bonang Matheba was just not having it when she dragged Phil Mphela on Twitter. Phil Mphela is a television commentator who always keeps South African social media users updated on what is going on in the television world in terms of statistics.
On 27 December, Phil tweeted about who he thinks are the best breakout actors this year. He mentioned Ama Qamata, TK Sebothoma, Lunathi Mampofu and Busi Lurayi.
Busi Lurayi is a seasoned Mzansi actress and has been on television for a while. She has been making waves for her performance on the Netflix series How to Ruin Christmas.
Bonang found it extremely disrespectful for Phil to mention her on a list that has actors who have only broken onto the scene recently.
South African stylist Dumi Gwebu replied to Phil's tweet by saying:
"Please do not disrespect Busi Lurayi like this."
Bonang was in agreement with Dumi and implied that Phil has always been known to say things like this.
"He's disrespectful. Always been," she said.
Twitter users were in agreement with Bonang about Phil's disrespect and weighed in on the matter. Briefly.co.za put together a few reactions from the microblogging site.
@BWorded_ said: "Clearly he didn't have a TV when Sokhulu & Partners was around."
@LungeloKM said: "He's vile. Never open to others' opinions."
@OfficialBongile commented: "I've always felt off about him, but of late, the true colours are cracking."
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Bonang Matheba made a fan’s day by spreading festive cheer. Bonang Matheba recently made a fan super happy after greeting them in public.
