Nomuzi Mabena followed her dream of being a rapper a few years ago and recently dropped her long-awaited album, The Spirit Of An OG. Reviews for the album were mixed and avid hip-hop fans did not wait to let her know what they thought of her work.

The album that Moozlie dropped is not her first as she has released two other projects. She even won an SA Hip Hop Award for the Best Female Rapper in 2018.

People have certainly questioned her talent in the past but she has managed to pave the way for herself as an independent artist.

There were people who praised Nomuzi's recent album but others had a lot to criticise her for. A Twitter user made it known how they felt about the album.

@langamakhathin said: "I feel like Moozlie's Spirit Of An OG is hard but some songs/verses, I feel are the same and not a lot of creativity was done."

Nomuzi responded to the tweep:

"The boom bap vibes are definitely the foundation of the project but I definitely think it’s an epic display of my versatility overall. I appreciate you taking the time out to listen tho."

Other Twitter users are actually enjoying Moozile's album. The album has received mixed reactions for sure but Nomuzi has taken it all in gracefully.
