Radio personality Karabo Ntshweng is fed up with people assuming that she is expecting a baby. She expressed that she has had it with the pregnancy rumours. Karabo's followers have noticed that the former YoTV presenter put on some weight, which led to them believing that she's expecting.
Karabo took to Twitter to set the record straight about whether she is pregnant or not:
"I’m so tired of being asked if I’m pregnant on social media, guys please leave me alone bathong," she said.
She shared that she was put on some medication that made her put on some extra weight. She also dragged people for being insensitive and said that doesn't make it any easier for her.
South African female Twitter users could relate to what Karabo was saying and shared their own experiences of unwelcome weight comments:
@Pinx19 said: "I can relate. I've gained 40kg since I started taking meds for my mental illnesses. Everyone is always commenting about my weight gain, some even look at me with disgust."
@KatlegoMoje_ commented: "I relate with this so much omg, it's so insensitive, intrusive and plain rude. I cry so much when I'm alone, if only people knew what's going on inside you."
@truth__spoken said: "Just the other day I found myself calling out some ladies on Instagram. I don't normally comment on anything but I found myself so annoyed at the insensitivity. At a recently function I attended with family, my cousin went on and on about my weight, I wanted to cry."
