- While many speculated whether or not the clip was old, a lot of others defended him by asking how he would be able to drink with a mask on
A video clip showing the EFF's leader Julius Malema dancing and having a jol at an unknown groove has been shared online. In the clip, Juju can be seen completely unconcerned about being in a crowded place with no mask.
In the clip that was uploaded by a Twitter user, @Goolammv, Malema dances as if he has not a single worry in the world while many stand around him and egg him on. Only one person can be seen wearing a mask in the clip.
"Disgraceful scenes of Julius Malema partying up a storm with no mask on. The video was posted on Malema’s IG 4 days ago, the disgraceful and hypocritical EFF cult leader has since deleted this video. The area Julius was partying in is declared a hotspot," Goolamm captioned the post.
Meanwhile, tweeps had this to say:
"Old video Nduna, very old, go get something else to fool us, you've already fooled the fools, not us."
"Why should he wear a mask while he's having a glass in his hand? At least social distancing is maintained."
"South African leaders are a joke to our democracy. There is no excuse why this should acceptable by his party in fact he should be asked to step down ASAP. Kodwa we know his party is a joke too so they might find this amusing."
Briefly.co.za had previously reported that Julius Malema has earned himself a new title in the Twitter streets - "Impimpi" - which basically means a snitch. His new nickname comes after he had snitched on a Durban man who tweeted about selling alcohol during the lockdown period, which has a strict alcohol ban.
Taking to his Twitter, the EFF's Malema tagged the South African Police in a tweet about the various alcoholic beverages a man was attempting to sell on his Twitter page. View the tweet below:
"I’m selling the below. Remy Martin VSOP x R2 500, Glenmorangie 10 years x R1 800, Jagemeister x R900, Hennessy VSOP x R2 500, Flying Fish 24 packs x R1 000, Heineken 24 packs x R1 000, We deliver anywhere in Durban (added costs)."
