Nando’s apparently predicted the future, or they just made a really lucky guess. In an advertisement released last year, the chicken fast food company called it that the Guptas would run away.
The ad titled ‘We can fix our sh#t’, showed the problems South Africa faced and how the country always seems to overcome the challenges.
However, the last few minutes of the advertisement showed Atul and Ajay Gupta, or at least the actors portraying them, trying to fit a painting of themselves in the back of their car.
The segment suggested the Guptas attempted to flee their Saxonwold mansion with bags filled with cash in a car with the license plate “we run”.
Fast forward a few months and Ajay really did flee the country and is now considered a fugitive.
Eyewitness News reported he was believed to have left South Africa to travel to Dubai earlier this month.
But, his exact whereabouts remain a mystery. Briefly.co.za reported previously that Ajay was allegedly staying at palatial bungalow in India at the time of Zuma’s resignation. But, he was escorted to the airport by local police after news broke that Zuma stepped down.
