In other Briefly.co.za news, @callmethaboo on Twitter shared a picture of a R1 000 fine for not wearing a mask. It is unclear if Thabo received the fine or if he just shared it but the post has still gone viral as South Africans are in shock.

The incident occurred in Milnerton, Cape Town. According to the fine, the person who received the fine is a taxi driver. The reasoning written in the fine is: "Failure to wear a mask while transporting people."

The fine was dated 29 December. SAns cannot believe that someone has already been fined for failure to comply with government regulations.
