Veteran actress Tanya Roberts was reported dead but is actually alive. The famous actress who featured in movies such as James Bond, Charlie's Angels and Sheena is said to have collapsed at her home on Christmas Eve, according to TMZ.

Roberts is reported to have taken her dog on a walk earlier before the incident occurring just when she returned home.

Tanya was taken to hospital and put on a ventilator. According to her publicist, Mike Pingel, the reports about her death are not true.

Pingel said that he was told on Sunday evening by Roberts' partner, Lance O'Brien, that Roberts had passed away, O'Brien believed that the actress was not going to pull through after she was hospitalised.

On Monday morning, O'Brien was told that his partner was still alive.

Tanya is well known for her role in the 1985 James Bond film, A View To A Kill, in which she played Stacey Sutton.

She also starred in Charlie's Angels as Julie Rogers in its fifth season and also other roles in films such as Sheena, The Beastmaster and Tourist Trap.

Tanya is also a successful model and appeared in several TV commercials.

Tanya was married to Barry Roberts who passed away in 2006 but they had no children.

Briefly.co.za earlier reported that the president of the National Teachers Union (NATU), Allen Thompson, has passed away following a short illness.

At this time there are no details surrounding his death but according to reports, the news of his passing was confirmed by NATU general secretary Cynthia Barnes, who said that details will only be made available to the public once his family has been notified.

Thompson had only been serving as president of NATU for two years after being elected in 2018. Before this, Thomspon had served as deputy president of the teachers union. Meanwhile, tributes have already started pouring in for Thomspon. Read a few of them below.
