The world's tallest hotel dominates Dubai's skyline, towering over the other buildings at 356-metres. At that height, The Gevora hotel is the tallest hotel in the world.
It is located on the main highway, Sheikh Zayed Road. The hotel has 528 rooms and has 75 floors.
Briefly.co.za learned that the previous record holder, the JW Mariott Marquis Hotel, is also in Dubai and stands at 335-metres. Besides these two giants, the city is home to a number of enormous hotels such as Rose Rayhaan, Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel according to thesouthafrican.com.
The Gevora hotel stands out with its gold accents and geometric shapes complimented with contemporary finishes. The world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, is visible from the hotels open-air pool on the 12th floor. The Burj Khalifa stands at an astonishing 828-metres high.
General manager Jairaj Gorsia says that the hotel caters for their guest's specific tastes.
“Our guests are looking for a good bed, a good cup of coffee, and convenience. The feeling of being at home when the person is actually away from home is what we are trying to deliver.”
