Pearl Thusi recently took to social media to share her thoughts on the Covid-19 crisis and likened it to the plot of a horror movie.

The actress posted about how the virus and its effects are similar to evil beings and demons that often feature in the scary films.

Pearl specifically mentioned how the insidious nature of the virus infecting people in their homes without being seen was also reminiscent of horror movies.

Pearl tweeted:

"The planet right now is like a horror movie... just scared of some invisible thing that could kill you if you go outside. Like a demon... that enters you & no one can help you. But it’s scary & actually real- so it’s more like a nightmare that you can’t wake up from"

Pearl's followers agrees with her take and replied that they also felt that the terrible events the planet was enduring seemed surreal and movie-like.

Supa Mega also wrote that he was hopeful everything would turn out okay but encouraged people to be resourceful and stay strong despite the financial and emotional strain.

AKA specifically shouted out some occupations but directed his message at anyone in the industry who was struggling due to the virus and its widespread effects.

His tweet read:
