Julius Malema's EFF says no to 'mjolo' during 2nd wave of lockdown

EFF leader Julius Malema has called for Mzansi citizens to try suspending their hookups until the Covid-19 pandemic is over. Julius Malema had a press conference earlier today and called for people to pause their 'mjolo' for now.

Malema pleaded with South Africans to stay away from hooking up and dating whilst the country is still fighting the virus.

The EFF president said that only people who are married, such as himself, should express intimacy during these trying times.

“We cannot allow any visitors. No boyfriends, no girlfriends. You do not know where they have been," said Malema.

Malema went on to say that only married people are safe because they know each other's whereabouts. He told Mzansi citizens to stay at home until the coronavirus pandemic is over and it is safe.

The EFF took to Twitter to share some details about Julius Malema's press conference. They quoted one of the things that Malema said and shared it on their account:

"May we all remain strong in the face of depression and despair and may we all live lives in a manner that will honour those we have lost in what has been a war of survival against a brutal disease."

@EFFSouthAfrica live-tweeted Malema's address using the hashtag #EFFPresser to spread the news. Malema urged all South Africans to comply with all behavioural and medical requirements to curb the spread of Covid-19, including voluntary participation in the vaccination process.
