A South African woman recently shared a heartfelt post about how her mom escaped a life of abuse and finally has a home of her own. Sindisiwe Prudence Tsagae took to Facebook's ImStaying and wrote:

"#ImStaying because my mom suffered and was abused for 12 years in marriage by my step dad, but because she had no where to stay she endured through the pain. I'm proud to say she has a stand now we live peaceful with no abuse its not much but I'm proud of her !! This is our new home."

Taking to Facebook's ImStaying, Mmako shared a heartwarming yet motivational post about how he and a friend used to eat dry pap and black tea while studying. He also mentions how they sadly ate their meal while others bought pricey foods from the canteen.

"I remember during my studies at the University of Limpopo, people will be running to the cafeteria to buy food for lunch and some will be eating nice food in their rooms. My friends and I Maesela Stan Aphane Jerry Kgobalala Moukangoe will be eating this. life was not easy at all. today I have two degrees working on my third qualification. #im staying ," he wrote in the Facebook post.
