President Joe Biden is facing articles of impeachment which were filed against him by a Republican congresswoman, Marjorie Taylor Greene.

The lawmaker who represents Northwest Georgia announced the news on Twitter on Thursday, January 21, a day after Biden's inauguration.

She said:

“I’ve just filed articles of impeachment on President Joe Biden, we will see how this goes."

Greene also released a statement where is accused Biden of corrupt actions involving exchanges with Ukraine.

She claimed the president had allowed his son Hunter to ‘siphon off cash from America’s greatest enemies, Russia and China’.

The lawmaker further claimed that Biden is unfit to hold the office of the presidency.

She accused ‘him of abuse of power during his time as vice president in the Obama White House, and accusing him of "blatant nepotism" with regards to his son Hunter.

Greene said:

"President Biden has demonstrated he will do whatever it takes to bail out his son, Hunter, and line his family’s pockets with cash from corrupt foreign energy companies."

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za also reported that It has been confirmed that the immediate past president of the United States (US) Donald Trump, left a secret letter for his successor, Joe Biden, before the latter's inauguration. The disclosure was made on Wednesday, January 20, by one of Trump's aides, Judd Deere, who worked with him in the White House, Yahoo.com reports.

Speaking on the write-up by his former principal, Deere said: "It’s a letter between 45 and 46." By this, he meant it was a secret letter from the 45th to the 46th president of the US.

In more reports Trump praised his government for developing the Covid-19 vaccine in just nine months, a feat he claimed past or future administrations would have struggled with for years.

He said: "They called it a medical miracle. Another administration would've taken three, four, five, maybe even up to 10 years to develop a vaccine. We did it in nine months."
