Mbalula Questions Maimane on the Funding of OneSA, Starts Mini Twar

- Mmusi Maimane recently headed to Twitter to announce OneSA's next plan of action

- Not long thereafter, an inquisitive tweep asked Maimane who was funding OSA

- This led to Minister Fikile Mbalula following up on the tweeps question, saying that he too would like to know who funds the political movement

Twitter is becoming increasingly entertaining and ever so serious. While we used to be entertained by selfies and gym pics, we now get the pleasure of watching our very own politicians go head-to-head. The latest is Mmusi Maimane and Minister Fikile Mbalula.

The two recently had a showdown on Twitter after Maimane announce OSA's next step in South Africa's political sphere. It all started when one tweep asked Maimane who was funding OSA. Soon Mbaks chipped in and said that he too would like to know, to which Maimane responded:

Briefly.co.za earlier reported that Mmusi Maimane's One South Africa has announced that it has decided will indeed be participating in the 2021 Local Government Elections. However, instead of contesting the elections as a collective, the group will be putting forward independent candidates.

In a statement released on Monday to announce the decision One SA commented on the call to approach the elections in this manner:

"We are convinced that these elections can and will demonstrate the power and potential of independent candidates, providing South Africans with a real alternative to political parties."
