International football stars are often seen in some of the most exotic and expensive cars on the planet, Ronaldo recently took delivery of his very own Bugatti.
Local footballers, like most hot-blooded men, share this love of beautiful cars and powerful engines. Ok so locals don’t quite have the money to have the latest Bugatti but the assortment of cars owned by locals is still pretty impressive.
Some local players love having the latest and greatest model with the biggest wheels or the biggest sound system, others prefer to own classics.
Briefly.co.za takes a look at which local footballer drives what, in many instances these guys have sponsored vehicles as well as their own private car.
Siphiwe Tshabalala – The Kaizer Chiefs superstar owns a Mercedes Benz ML63 AMG and a Range Rover, both perfect for the school run and looking down on traffic. Siphiwe recently acquired a sportier Lexus RC350 F-Sport, perfect for those weekend getaways.
Teko Modise – The Cape Town City FC player can be spotted cruising the streets of the mother city in his sponsored Ford Mustang. Sponsored or not that’s one impressive beast.
Thuso Phala – A well-known love of driving regularly sees Thuso participating in (legal) racing events. His daily driver is a Mercedes Benz A45 AMG.
Bernard Parker – Another Kaizer Chiefs player with a love for cars, Bernard owns a Range Rover but the pride of his collection is his classic BMW 3-series cabriolet.
Tshepo Masilela – The closest South Africa has to Ronaldo. Tshepo owned a Mercedes SLS AMG and a Ferrari 458. The combined value of these exotic cars is over R7 million.
