Veteran jazz vocalist Dr Sibongile Khumalo has passed away, SA reacts

"This is the Biography of one of South Africa’s youngest woman Doctors ever: She was born and raised in Violet Park Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga. Because of her gift and talent she skipped Grade 7 in Farel Primary School and was promoted to high school at Lehlasedi high school."

Thibela was evidently made for academics, continuing to breeze through her high school career:

"While at Lehlasedi her capabilities grew and as a result she skipped Grade 9 too, she matriculated with 7 distinctions out of 8 and went to Wits where she earned a Golden Key International Membership."

Now, after successfully graduating, Thibela is kicking off her internship at Helen Joseph Hospital:

"Dr Thibela is currently doing her internship at Helen Joseph hospital and intends on becoming a neurosurgeon in the near future."

Mzansi was beyond proud, take a look at just a few responses below:

@Sol_Nethononda: "This is a fantastic story. Just proves that there's more to competence than speaking 'proper' English. Bravo indeed."

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that in this day and age, health care workers are the ones who we are depending on the most to help us get through the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic.

This is why when a health care worker shares how much they care, Mzansi stans, the same way they did with Modupi Madiehe Jr who shared a heartwarming post in Facebook's ImStaying.

The post is basically a way of reassuring those that they work with that they are there to offer the best service.

They also said that the patient they work with will always receive love and care, the way it should be with nurses.

"Hi, stayers. We don't have a lot to offer BUT LOVE AND CARE. MALE NURSES AT YOUR SERVICE . U made a good choice to stay.#IMSTAYING," wrote the nurse.
