Briefly.co.za had previously reported that Sydney Mufamadi, the former chairperson of the high-level panel into SSA, appeared before the Zondo Commission into state capture. Mufamadi was appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa to look into the State Security Agency (SSA).

He testified that former president Jacob Zuma was given R2.5 million a month between 2015 and 2016 and this was increased to R4.5 for the 2016/17 financial year according to Times Live.

He alleged that this money was given to the then security minister David Mahlobo, whether that money reached Zuma is not known.

This sent shockwaves across social media and South Africans took to various social media platforms to share their theories and reactions. Briefly.co.za took a look at some the exchanges on Twitter as Mzansi considers the implications of Mafumadi's testimony.
