Mzansi has reacted to President Cyril Ramaphosa following his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday night, 11 February.

The president touched on a number of issues including, corruption, loadshedding, creating jobs, the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine and the three months extension of the R350 Covid-19 relief grant.

Social media users have shared mixed reactions to Ramaphosa's speech. Many people have shared that the ANC-led government has been making the same promises for the past few years but has not implemented them.

In related news, Briefly.co.za reported that Ramaphosa spoke about the coronavirus pandemic and the vaccine rollout in the country. The president stated that the AstraZeneca vaccine's low efficacy will not delay the vaccine rollout in the country, which is set to start in March.

Ramaphosa added that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is more effective against the 501Y.V2 variant, will be used. The country has secured 9 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine with the first batch of 80 000 doses expected to arrive in the country next week.
