Richard Johnson found himself alone with his 1-month-old baby daughter when her mother abandoned her in 2015.

He was only 21-years-old, and terrified of being a dad, but he found support it the most unlikely place: Facebook.

Richard, and his daughter, Persephone, went viral when he posted on the Facebook group, Life of Dad.

In his post, Richard said he found comfort and support in the stories of other fathers, who, like him, were raising their children alone.

Fast forward three years, and Briefly.co.za found that Richard and Persephone are thriving together. Even better; Richard found love, with a woman who considers Persephone her very own daughter!

Richard met Jennifer when he was clothes shopping for Persephone, and as may be expected, he was cautious about letting her into their lives after the trauma of having to raise Persephone alone.

Jennifer stuck around though, and now, they're a family of three, and Persephone calls her "mommy."

Richard said that he could never imagine his life without his daughter, and he regularly shares adorable stories of his little princess on their Facebook page.
