Opening the meeting on Saturday, Ramaphosa made it clear that ANC leadership should co-operate with the State Capture Inquiry.

This comes as ex-president Jacob Zuma highlights that he is more willing to head to prison than to present himself before the Inquiry.

News24 reportedly spoke to a source close to the meeting who says that the President's remarks will be setting the mood for talks that was expected to see arguments over whether or not the ANC should get involved if a warrant of arrest is issued against Zuma for violating a court summons.

Eyes on Magashule as ANC decides on corrupt: #Magashulestepaside

Ramaphosa warned the ANC that it needed to approach the guidelines of a policy compelling corruption accused members to step aside with 'maturity'.

Members, according to insiders, were expected to voluntarily step aside should they ultimately be charged with serious crimes.

If the corruption accused members opted out of stepping aside, an ANC Integrity Commission probe would be launched.

If the outcome of this investigation is that the member should step aside, the NEC would be tasked with deciding whether or not to suspend the politician.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that the ruling party's National Executive Committee is currently working out the finer details of how it will pull off this resolution.

As the ANC is seeking answers as to how it will compel members charged with graft to stand aside, all eyes have turned to secretary-general Ace Magashule.

#Magashulestepaside is currently trending on social media, exposing how many citizens have been affected by the failures of Magashule stemming from his time as the Premier of the Free State province.
