South African news cycles move very quickly most of the time anyway, but the past weeks has been especially full of stories which caught the imagination and interest of many people.

Sometimes it seems if missing a few hours will leave lost so we at Briefly have put together a list of five stories you might have overlooked over the past week

1. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi aka ‘The People’s Bae’ shares pictures of his stunning partner

While Ndlozi might get the pulses of millions of female supporters racing, he only has eyes for one woman, gorgeous actress Mmabatho Montsho.

We gather that the handsome couple have been dating for a couple of years now, generally keeping their relationship private and only rarely sharing pictures.

2. Sibusiso and Ro Anne’s wedding upsets twitter

The work relationship between Mzansi Magic’s Our Perfect Wedding's Ro Anne and Sibusiso, where she nursed a huge crush on him struck sparks for the both of them on a work weekend away. Shortly after their story went viral.

South African Twitter, however was displeased at how fast things moved between the two. Sibusiso dated another woman for five years before Ro. Public opinion was that the ex-girlfriend not even meeting his family after five years of dating was unfair, especially since Ro got a ring and his last name after just one.

3. 7 Angels Ministry leader says he's fighting Lucifer

A video which surfaced online showing one of the leaders of the Seven Angels Ministry church claiming to be an angel was shared by former Police Minister, Fikile Mbalula, in a tweet.

It's unclear which of the brothers appears in the video. The church made headlines after five police officers and a retired soldier were shot dead recently in Ngcobo, Eastern cape.

4. 5 facts Higher Education Minister, Naledi Pandor

Naledi Pandor, South Africa’s new Higher Education Minister previously served four years as the South African Minister of Science and Technology.

She was Ramaphosa’s top pick for Deputy President on the slate with which he ran for the ANC leadership last year. Despite that, the position was awarded to David Mabuza.

Not a lady of drama, Pandor, a converted Muslim leads in good faith drawing on her three degrees and infinite knowledge.

In the last five years, Pandor has held the position of acting president no less than five time Jacob Zuma jetted off for obligations abroad.

She is happy to call out ministers who aren’t sticking to their promises. Back in March 2017, she said that the ANC has not followed the direction given by the national executive committee to scrutinize party leaders’ lifestyles, and put the idea of lifestyle audits which have recently been raised again, on the agenda in Parliament.

5. Is DJ Zinhle gaga for Namibia's Collin Venaani?

DJ Zinhle and Namibian businessman Collin Venaani have apparently been dating for a while.

Having finally gotten over her break-up with Brendon Naidoo sources close to Zinhle say she has fallen head over heels for Collin.

The couple was spotted at a Johannesburg nightclub a while back and reportedly couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
