“Her Instagram is rich with content that empowers, heals and boosts your mood. She is the internet’s personal HYPE woman,” Gabrielle wrote.

According to the famous actress, Achieng is the kind of comfort the world needs during these dark times.

“We could also use a cheerleader right now. On top of her words of encouragement, she serves LOOKS; rocking patterns and colours that just exude joy,” she added.

Achieng Agutu became a household name after she was reunited with her family whom she had not seen in two years and rewarded with some cash by American TV show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Her emotional story of working multiple jobs to make ends meet, her parents selling land and taking loans to take her to school is what touched the audience in the Ellen show.

While many concluded that she came from a humble background from her confession, others, especially Kenyans, cast doubt on her claim that she learned some words by watching The Ellen DeGeneres Show in Kisumu where she grew up.
