Meet 86-year-old grandmother who loves to slay on social media

Funky 86-year-old American grandma, Helen Ruth Elam Van Winkle, has become an internet sensation after sharing breathtaking pictures of her on social media. She looks like an 18-year-old girl.

Popularly known as @baddiewinkle on Instagram, Winkle was born on July 18, 1928 in Hazard, Kentucky. Looking at her pictures on Instagram, she loves to combine colors and dress to outshine her age. Winkle just loves to slay.

Her social media tag line ‘stealing your man since 1928’ has become a popular citation amongst teens and young adults. She loves wearing eccentric clothes, shoes, makeups, wigs and much more.

Winkle gathered followers after getting help from her great granddaughter, Kennedy Lewis, to upload an image of her on Twitter, while wearing her great-granddaughter’s clothes. She was subsequently followed by Rihanna, and now has over three million followers.

The 86-year-old funky grandma currently lives in Knoxville, Tennessee. She gathered all these huge amount of followers in one year and featured in several television shows.

In 2016, she was in a national commercial for Smirnoff ICE Electric Flavors as part of their ‘keep it moving’ campaign. She continued to entertain fans with her pictures, videos, and collaborations with well-known brands and celebrities.
