Ladies, have you ever dreaded the idea of sitting at the singles table at your judgemental cousin’s wedding because you just could not find a date?
Well, no need to worry any further because now you can rent a boyfriend for the day, one who would make all the other ladies green with envy.
Siyabonga Ntshekazi, 25, from Fourways in Northern Johannesburg, started a business where women can rent a hunk for the day.
Ntshekazi runs a website called “Rent a Boyfriend”, where a female could pay for a man to pretend to be her bae.
“My target market is women who are financially stable. Such women are always busy and it makes them happy to take their days off work in style,” he said.
Ntshekazi said he’s not running an escort site where people pay for intercourse, but he said if they do decide to take things to the bedroom, it is up to them.
“People make their own choices because we’re all adults.”, he added.
And, like any other business, “Rent a Boyfriend” has different packages. Ntshekazi said their prices range from between R299 to R1500.
Briefly.co.za gathered the company apparently has men for all women’s specific tastes, from short to tall or from fit to flabby.
“The men come in all different shapes and sizes. We have bearded men, tall guys and short ones, men with six pack and others with mkhaba,” he said.
The Daily Sun reported he said he provided his clients with dates for every occasion, ranging from parties to work functions to funerals or weddings.
One of his employees, Raies Struss, has been on three dates. Struss said he and his dates had a good time and they all went their separate ways at the end of the night.
Another ‘boyfriend’, 28-year-old Godfrey Sikwane, said he only provided his service once but had a great time.
“The woman I took out was very hot. She had just broken up with her man and was finding comfort with me. We had a great time together.”, Sikwane recalled about his experience.
And, apparently the ladies are happy about Ntshekazi’s new business venture. Maria Mwarimba, 27, said she was glad the service had been introduced, adding serious boyfriend were a headache nowadays.
“This has always been a very white thing. But I love the idea and I will use this service because serious boyfriends are a headache these days.”, she said.
