- AKA and his management confirmed his upcoming album ‘Touch My Blood’ will be his last album
- The rapper will focus on his business empire and his family life
- ‘Touch my Blood’ is expected to be released in May
South African rap superstar AKA has confirmed that his upcoming album ‘Touch My Blood’ will be the last album he releases.
The news was confirmed by AKA’s manager Tshiamo Letswene who revealed the rapper would pursue other interests outside of music.
"Yup. This is it. This is his last album. He wants to do other things with his life beyond music. He is a father and a businessman.” AKA will turn his attention to his various businesses and to his daughter Kairo.
Briefly.co.za gathered that ‘Touch My Blood” was nearing completion and fans can expect the album to be released in May.
Letswene said fans could expect AKA to release singles and collaborations in the future, but he expressed doubts about a future album.
AKA revealed last year that he did not enjoy working on albums and he found them to be restrictive.
"I will drop a new single this year. I like to make music and‚ to me‚ albums are a bit restrictive‚ but it is what it is. People want albums‚ so I will put my heart into it. Every song is a painting for me and Van Gogh didn't make 12 paintings and then put them in a gallery‚" he said.
