A young man who was wrongly pronounced dead in India miraculously opened his eyes after spending a night at the morgue. He was involved in a ghastly car crash.
Identified as Himanshu Bharadwaj, his family claimed that this is indeed a miracle immediately after the pathologist detected that his pulse started again during the process of performing an autopsy.
Bharadwaj was immediately rushed into a ward in the hospital for proper treatment. Daily Mail reports that he sustained serious injury from the accident which made his brain stop working.
Dr Gedam of Chhindwara District Hospital said that: “The patient's respiration was dysfunctional and his pulse was also missing. However, his respiratory organs began responding this morning. At times, in brain dead patients the heart and the respiratory system stop functioning transiently, which seems to be the case here. Himanshu is still brain dead. Thus, we have referred him to Nagpur due to lack of sufficient facilities locally.”
It was also reported that the young man grabbed a sweeper’s hand as a means of showing he was still alive. Bharadwaj's father is said to be the manager at Bank of India.
