Prince Kaybee took some time off his busy schedule to join the #NationalShutdown protests.

Mzansi university students are protesting this week as they face exclusion from various institutions due their recurring debts from 2020.

The award-winning musician took to the street and joined scores of students who are demanding free education. The star protested with the students from the University of Johannesburg on Monday, 15 March.

He took to Instagram and shared that he is inspired by the level of courage shown by the students marching for free education. He added:

"Even when they are bullied, beaten and shot by the police, they kept fighting. All of us should take time to support their struggle in whatever way we can. Their pain is our pain!"

A tweep at @NyikoBaloti_ took to Twitter and shared a clip of the star mingling with students after one of them was allegedly shot by cops. The tweep captioned the post:

"@PrinceKaybee_SA doing the Lord's work. I hope she gets the medical attention that she requires and be healed. Thank you for offering your transport and support. Talk about being at the right place at the right time."

The star also took to the micro-blogging app to reply to @NyikoBaloti_. He said:

"She was shot right in front of me, it's the least I could do."

The reality TV star took to social media to start a cool initiative in celebrations of his birthday. Andile has decided to give back to the community by gifting 20 university students with recurring debt R10 000 each. The star said:

"Today marks my 20th birthday and reaching this milestone has me reflecting on my life and how blessed I have been. Growing up requires one to look at things differently. As a young chairman my focus has been on seeing team @royalam_fc grow but we cannot neglect the difficult year we’ve had because of COVID as it has resulted with many people being left unemployed and in unfavourable financial situations."

He said in light of the current #FeesMustFall situation in Mzansi he has decided to help students this year. The star added:

"This year I would like to give back by gifting 20 university students that have recurring debt from 2020 with R10 000 towards their fees."
