Winnie Ntshaba Shuts Down Mfundi Vundla Criticism over Menzi Ngubane Tribute

Former Generations actress Winnie Ntshaba has poured water over the criticism Mfundi Vundla has received after his tribute to the late Menzi Ngubane.

Ntshaba revealed that Vundla was part of the group that put together the actor’s memorial service.

When she made this revelation on Instagram, one sour fan made it clear that they were still upset with the TV producer for his treatment of the late Ngubane.

Winnie responded by saying that she has let it go:

“Life goes on,” said the actress.

The actress was joined by Sophie Lichaba and other former Generations cast-mates to bid farewell to their industry peer.

Briefly.co.za reported that emotions were running high on Thursday, 18 March as veteran actor Menzi Ngubane's family and friends held a memorial service in his honour. Ngubane made a massive impact on the TV industry and had a memorial worthy of his outstanding work.

Many gathered at the Assemblies Of God Sandton Church to celebrate the life of the late actor. A moment of silence was held by the MCs of Ngubane's memorial in an honest and heartwarming tribute.

Ngubane had a series of death hoax's throughout his career and the most recent one reportedly upset him. According to Ayanda Borotho, Ngubane said his time to die was far off from that death hoax while his brother Bonny Ngubane stated the same in his memorial speech.

A report by TimeLIVE stated that actress Sonia Mbele, Baby Cele, Sophie Lichaba and make-up artist Bongi Mlotshwa were in attendance while Patrick Shai, Thato Molamu and Abdul Khoza honoured Ngubane with heartfelt speeches.

EWN reported that Ngubane will be buried on Saturday, 20 March, in his hometown of Ladysmith in KZN.

Briefly.co.za had previously reported the Ngubane family suffered another loss after the late Menzi Ngubane’s father passed away. According to the Daily Sun, the family have confirmed that Baba Ngubane is no more.

According to the publication, the 90-year-old died just a few days after his son departed. Details of the elderly man’s death have not yet been released.

Menzi Ngubane had a close relationship with his father and had once posted that he had been celebrating the man’s 90th birthday.

The Fergusons were just two of the many people who took to social media recently to send their condolences to Menzi Ngubane's family.
