On Thursday morning the Hawks officers came down on the Mafikeng offices of North West Premier, Supra Mahumapelo, with a search and seizure warrant in hand.

Mahumapelo was not at the office at the time of the raid. The raid began around 8.00 and continued well after 10.30. Captain Tlangelani Rikhotso was facing fraud and corruption charges and the Hawks were there as a means of support in the search.
