The EFF removes enterprise products from "arrogant" stores

The Economic Freedom Fighters have taken it upon themselves to remove listeria-related products from Pick n Pay stores across the country.

The party has declared the listeria outbreak a national crisis and urged its members to remove products from Enterprise and Rainbow Foods.

"If the government and all related companies will not declare a state of crisis, we must as citizens take it upon ourselves to do so. Thus, the EFF declares the listeriosis outbreak as a crisis," said EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi on Wednesday.

He singled out Pick n Pay for their lack of urgency in removing potentially contaminated products. The EFF has called on its members to also remove affected products from all retail stores.

Pick n Pay has issued a statement that they have removed all affected products and assured the public that their products are safe to eat.
