With Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki's future a subject of speculation, many fans are already calling for coach Pitso Mosimane's return.

The national team coach has failed to guide the 1996 African champions to the 2021 Caf African Cup of Nations after losing 2-0 to Sudan on Sunday evening.

In the wake of this disappointing result, Ntseki has also expressed heartbreak as he is fully aware the nation has been let down, but the football fraternity is already looking at having a more experienced manager.

However, the Al Ahly manager will not come cheap in case Mosimane considers a return to the national team bench.

He is currently in charge of African giants but the Twitter community is already lambasting the team's failure to book a spot in Cameroon and they have their preferred candidate.

@JustJamal said:

“If you all want Doctor Khumalo to be appointed as Bafana Bafana coach, we might as well put Phumudzo Manenzhe in the mix. Arthur Zwane /Pitso.”

@Sundowns_Solo responded and seems to agree with the idea of having the four-time Premier Soccer League winner with Mamelodi Sundowns:

“Pitso Mosimane can actually coach Al Ahly and Bafana Bafana simultaneously...”

@Tebogo_maseng replied:

“Leave coach Pitso Mosimane alone, you will only going get him look useless, deal with SAFA.”

@ShakesRampedi decided to show sportsmanship:

“Congratulations to Sudan for qualifying for the #AFCON2021 You deserved it and wanted it more than Bafana Bafana This is embarrassing. Honestly...I have not been impressed with Molefi Ntseki during his reign as Bafana Bafana coach. Too many holes and questions. I don't think he's the right man to take us forward.”

@MrHandsome_SA likened the current situation to that of Kaizer Chiefs:

“I feel like I'm a Kaizer Chiefs fan now, Pitso must just come home to rescue Bafana Bafana..”

“AshSeraka2 said there's no way the Kagiso-born manager can return to the Safa House:

“Pitso is getting paid money Safa wouldn't even match!!! Why must he come back for nonsense.”

Also known as Jingles, Mosimane was part of the national set up during the 2010 Fifa World Cup as an assistant coach to Carlos Alberto Parreira.

Meanwhile, he was handed the coaching reigns on a full-time basis in 2010 but resigned from the post in 2012 to take over at Masandawana.

Briefly.co.za also reported that Ntseki has also reacted to their failure to reach the continental showpiece. and his job could be on the line.

The 1996 African champions were looking for a draw in their final qualifier against Sudan on Sunday evening, but the embattled coach failed to guide his men to a desirable result.
