Julius Malema Calls Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter "Useless", SA Debates

Economic Freedom Fighters' leader Julius Malema is known for expressing his opinions open and honestly. Juju recently took to Twitter to call Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter out in a simple yet impactful way.

Malema shared an image of De Ruyter with the caption reading: "If useless was a person." Juju added an emoji of a hand pointing down to the image of De Ruyter. De Ruyter has been making headlines for a while after accusations of racism were made against him.

The Red Berets leader opened a unique discussion online following his tweet about De Ruyter. There seemed to be many in agreement with him but there was an equal number of those who were not.

Previously, Briefly.co.za reported that De Ruyter said he supports the investigations into the allegations of racism made against him. De Ruyter spoke on Monday, 15 March about the state of the embattled power utility. The CEO added that he would not tolerate corruption.

De Ruyter stated that the probe into the allegations of racism is welcome as both sexism and racism have 'no place' at Eskom. De Ruyter also stated that there are many people who could attest to the fact that he is not racist.

The power utility's CEO spoke more on the allegations of racism by stating there was no evidence to support it.
