Mala Bryn finds inner peace when she visits one of her favourite places, a scratch patch near Simonstown. The scratch patch hides a multitude of semi-precious stones waiting to be found by the young and the old.
Bryan began her affair with semi-precious stones 10 years ago when she was at one of the lowest points in her life. Her mother had recently passed away and she was close to having a very emotional and public breakdown while at the V&A Waterfront.
Briefly.co.za learned that it was there that she noticed a little shop filled with semi-precious stones and crystals. It was there that she discovered that many people believed that these stones could help influence their state of mind and well being according beautifulnews.co.za.
This lets her to discovering the larger scratch patch and gem factory outside Simonstown. The St Lucia-born model travels 40 minutes and uses the tranquil and picturesque car ride to reflect and recharge her soul.
“I’m from an island and seeing large masses of water is always very soothing to me,” she says.
The relief of finally arriving at the scratch patch is what she is really after.
“To think such beautiful things could be created naturally, that for me is mind-blowing.”
Each of us has to find out own scratch patch where we can find inner peace, it may be a coffee shop, a hill with a view or a quiet spot in a park. South Africa has special places where we can find happiness in the most unexpected places.
