UK actress Thandie Newton has decided to revert to her original name, Thandiwe. The British actress revealed that her name had been changed for the credits after she got a role in a movie in 1991 at the age of 16.

Thandiwe is now 48 years old and has revealed that she is changing it back. Taking to social media, the actress apologised to fans about the error of the spelling of her name in British Vogue.

"Sincerest apologies from me, for error in @BritishVogue. My name ‘Thandiwe’ is Zulu, my mother’s tribe is Shona. That’s what happens when you’re separated from your identity for so long, that you forget who you are," she tweeted.
