EFF's Mbuyiseni Ndlozi Defends Dr Tumi in a Supportive Online Post

The EFF's Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has stepped up and shown his support for South African gospel star Dr Tumi after he and his wife were released from jail on bail after they handed themselves in to the police following allegations of fraud.

In his post, the EFF member shared a Bible verse as well as a photo of Dr Tumi. The caption of the post suggests that Ndlozi believes that the gospel singer is innocent and that his innocence will be proven soon.

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper!" wrote Ndlozi in the post.

While many people loved seeing Ndlozi showing some support for Dr Tumi, not all comments were positive as many were still in disbelief around the fraud scandal. Read a few of their comments below:

Briefly.co.za earlier reported that gospel singer Dr Tumisang Makweya, better known as "Dr Tumi", has been released on bail along with his wife for allegedly defrauding the National Lotteries Board. The couple handed themselves over to the authorities on Tuesday.

The couple has both been released on bail of R3 000 each. They had allegedly handed in grant applications that had been altered to get funds for projects they had planned back in 2018.

The applications were shortly approved and this resulted in R1.5 million being transferred into a private bank account. Dr Tumi has been charged with fraud, along with his wife Kgaogelo Makweya.
