Malusi Gigaba: Norma Mngoma Set to Spill the Tea About Gupta Dealings

Nomachule Mngoma, fondly called Norma, and her estranged soon-to-be ex-husband Malusi Gigaba were once a powerful couple but now they have become dangerous foes.
In a candid interview with Briefly News, Norma accused Gigaba of being “childish” by attempting to censor her testimony at the State Capture Commission on Tuesday.

Norma has threatened to thrust Gigaba’s dirty dealings with the controversial Gupta family into the public spotlight. The Guptas, strong allies of former president Jacob Zuma, were allegedly the masterminds behind state capture during Zuma’s presidential tenure.
“I don’t know why he is doing this. He is being childish. I’m going to the State Capture Commission to perform my duty as a responsible citizen.”
Norma wouldn’t be drawn into commenting about her testimony at the commission. Panicking, Gigaba pleaded with the commission that Normas's testimony should be behind closed doors. But the former finance minister's gagging attempt failed.
Gigaba reportedly claimed that many personal details would be exposed if Mngoma was allowed to testify in public.
Norma said:
“I want to help the commission with the information that I have. I feel obliged in helping the commission.”
The former love birds married in 2014 in a glittering ceremony attended by high-profile people. They have two children, Nkanyezi and Mvelo.
Their once blossoming relationship was mired in controversy last year after Norma was arrested on charges of crimen injuria and malicious damage.
This came after she allegedly damaged a Mercedes Benz G-Class belonging to Gigaba’s friend. But the National Prosecuting Authority scrapped all the charges against her recently.
As she goes to the commission, Norma said she was not spiteful.
“I have forgiven him for all the pain, but I feel obligated as a law-abiding citizen to help the commission with the information I have.”
Norma said nobody will stop her from going to the commission. Gigaba could not be reached for comment.
Last week, Briefly News reported that Gigaba will be appearing before the Commission where Mngoma will have her final say after she made public promises about testifying against her estranged husband.
On Thursday, the Commission confirmed Mngoma's appearance.
Meanwhile, Briefly News previously reported that Norma Gigaba was vindicated when the high court dubbed the Hawk arrest unlawful.
The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria ruled that the warrant of arrest for Norma Gigaba and its subsequent execution was unlawful.
Handing down the ruling Judge Cassim Sardiwalla granted Norma Gigaba's application on an urgent basis, labelling the decision to apply for the warrant of arrest as unlawful.
