Black Coffee Speaks Out Against Charges: "I Did Not Assault Mbali"

After trending for most of Tuesday morning over assault charges levelled against him by his estranged wife, Black Coffee (real name Nathi Maphumulo) has decided to share his side of the story.

The music producer posted a series of tweets on his personal Twitter account explaining the situation and why he believes that Enhle Mbali is falsely accusing him.

He said that he has been quiet because he was trying to maintain the dignity of his family. The music producer went on to say that he grew up witnessing gender-based violence in his own home and vowed that he would never lay a hand on a woman.

"I DID NOT assault Mbali, the mother of my children. I didn’t do it now and I have never done It before."

Black Coffee said he believes that she is making the charges up to keep him away from his children

He went on to say that divorce is a difficult process and it has been especially painful for him. Nathi said that he has been seeking intense therapy privately in order to deal with it.

"Everyday I am attacked by relentless lies and falsehoods. I DID NOT ASSAULT HER."

He concluded by saying that he would respect the law and see through the demands of the court.

Meanwhile, Briefly News reported that Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa recently filed for a protection order against her soon-to-be ex-husband Black Coffee.

The Randburg Magistrate’s Court heard an application for a protection order prohibiting Black Coffee from entering his former marital home with Enhle.

Enhle Mbali filed for the protection order after she accused Black Coffee of abusing her. The former couple went to court after an altercation ensued in their former home together.
