“Don't leave Kaizer Chiefs, remember this is the only team you have ever played for. I dream of seeing you become a goalkeeper coach for the Amakhosi in the near future. Do the 17 years you spent at this team mean nothing to you?”

Meanwhile, Briefly News ran a story that Khune's future remains a subject of speculation and was set to meet the management at the end of the 2010/21 DStv Premiership season.

The veteran netminder was set to meet the club's hierarchy in the next coming weeks to decide his stay at Naturena.

Born in Ventersdorp in the North West province now known as Bopkone Bophirima, 'Itu' has been a long-serving member of the Amakhosi family but lack of game time in recent times may suggest he could part ways with the club.
