A young father has gained a lot of attention after SA media personality Khaya Dlanga headed online to share a thread about how well he was looking after his little one, whose mother is in hospital.

"His wife was in hospital recovering from an operation, so he goes everywhere with his son. He does not leave him with a female relative because he says, “Ngum ntanam.” The child is his and so his responsibility."

"I asked why he didn’t wrap him around with a shawl and he told me it was too hot. If it’s hot for him, it’s also hot for the child. So he just uses his arms to balance him instead.
"Truth is this should not be unusual, nor applauded, but it should be applauded and encouraged precisely because it’s unusual. The little boy was sleeping on his back as they walked. The father had a cheerful and carefree manner about him," Dlanga wrote in the thread.

Locals could not agree more with the sentiment and had this to say:

@xmzanywa said:

"I like the way this fish swims, Mzansi needs more fish like him. Phambili to fathers who are being fathers to their kids."

@Black_FRFR said:

"Fish is swimming. Yeah but I still feel fuzzy inside seeing this because most of us grew up without it, some will grow up without it. That child is lucky to know a father's love, it will make a huge difference."

In other Briefly News reports a proud dad recently shared a clip of his daughter that left locals feeling all sorts of ready to have children. In the clip the little one is dressed as a teacher, which her father explained in his caption was for career day at school.

The young dad with the Twitter handle, @KMalatji, dressed the little one up in a wig that is very teacher-like, some round-framed spectacles that really remind one of a strict teacher and also a black folder just to finish off the professional look.

"Career Day 2021. Teacher Mogau," he captioned the heartwarming Twitter clip.
