Kelly Khumalo Calls Out Peeps Who Speak On Gbv When Relationships Sour

Kelly Khumalo has never been one to mince her words. The media personality recently took to social media to share her thoughts about people speaking out against gender-based violence(GBV) only once their relationships sour.
Kelly said that often people chose to be secretive in relationships while things were going well.

Speaking as a victim of GBV herself, the singer said that often they encourage people to “drink water and mind their business” when others try to intervene and help, and only choose to speak out when the relationship ends.
Kelly went on to say that GBV must be exposed even while the victim wants to continue being in the relationship. She said that way the couple can seek counselling and get the help they need.
Meanwhile Briefly News reported that Enhle Mbali has been loud and open about the horror she allegedly endured during her marriage. The mother of two recently appeared in court after she accused her estranged husband Black Coffee of abuse.
The matter was reserved by the court and a decision is still pending. Now Enhle is opening up about previous incidents where the DJ allegedly violated her rights.
According to Enhle, Maphumulo abused her twice before the recent incident at her birthday party.
In a statement, Enhle revealed that she endured gaslighting, emotional and verbal abuse, physical abuse and financial abuse.
“The extent of the turmoil experienced in the marriage as a result of the abuse and the extramarital affairs was so severe that I was admitted into a facility and was treated for depression.”
She went on to say that the first incident of abuse occurred in 2014.
“He struck me several times in our bedroom. In 2019 after his Music is King event at our new residence, he threw a bag at my face during an argument.”
She also accused the DJ of attempting to intimidate her using his financial muscle. Enhle said she hoped that by speaking out, others would draw inspiration and learn from her experience.
“As a mother to boy children, I make it my mission to model positive behaviours and ensure my children are informed about issues such as GBV, the importance of consent, respect for individuals and that they are open minded individuals who communicate and express their feelings in a positive manner.”
