A 16-year-old KZN teen is shining the South African flag brightly after he was selected to represent the country in an international science fair, the 2021 Virtual Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in the United States.

Taking to Facebook's ImStaying, Narina Singh, Suhaan Singh's mother, shared how her son built a Lego robot that can dispense sanitiser. In the post, she also gushes about how proud she is as his parent.

"A 16-year-old KwaZulu-Natal science boffin who used a Lego kit and #4IR technology to construct and modify a robot to automate the COVID-19 screening and sanitising process, has been selected to represent South Africa in the 2021 Virtual Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in the United States.
"Suhaan Singh from Newcastle won a bronze medal at the 2020 Eskom Expo International Science Fair, where he demonstrated an advanced and in-depth understanding of the engineering category, producing research at an international level. The project also addressed a contemporary issue, while the research was creative and novel," reads part of a statement that his mom quoted in the ImStaying group.

Celebrating Aboh, the Bank of England in a social media post hailed the stride of their Data Science Lead. They also sent him a congratulatory message.
