Friends and family of secondary school learner Lufuno Mavhunga said goodbye to her as she was laid to rest.

A video showing a Grade 10 Limpopo schoolgirl being bullied resulted in the student taking her own life at the beginning of the week.

Earlier, Briefly News reported that a video showing a Grade 10 Limpopo schoolgirl being bullied resulted in the student taking her own life at the beginning of the week.

The video shows two female students at a secondary school in Thohoyandou, Limpopo arguing over what seems to be a R5 coin before she is assaulted.

Parents and classmates have proceeded to march to the institution to demand justice for Lufuno Mavhunga.

In other news, a 15-year-old Limpopo Mbilwi Secondary School learner has been arrested following the devastating death of Lufuno Mavhungu by suicide. The suicide came shortly after Mavhungu was allegedly assaulted by the learner who has been arrested while other learners laughed and recorded the incident.

The learner who is seen in the video as the aggressor has been charged with assault as a minor in line with the Child Justice Act.

15-year-old Lufuno fatally succumbed to an overdose on Monday after she was allegedly assaulted at school. Footage of her assault was captured by fellow learners.
