Having a post-matric qualification has been the talk of the town recently. This is after the DA's Bonginkosi Madikizela was suspended for lying on his CV about a degree he does not actually hold.

The DA's Natasha Mazzone followed behind after she defended having a matric certificate and no further qualifications. Mazzone went as far as telling former EFF Secretary-General Godrich Gardee that his qualification got him 'nothing'.

Briefly News' readers seem to have mixed thoughts about the topic.

"No, education doesn't mean one is clever or good thinker/ leader, as long he/she can use their mind."

"No people are born leaders you don't go to school to be a leader."

"Yes, it helps with constructive thinking, how do you leading the enlightened when you are not. Yes, there are issues of natural talent, but the talent without a proper light is a bit challenging, especially to the followers."

Earlier, Briefly News reported that questions were recently raised about Mazzone's post-matric qualifications and Gardee joined in on that.

The former EFF SG shared a video of him receiving his LLB by UNISA in 2018 as he tagged Mazzone in the caption. The DA MP's response to Gardee raised a few concerns for many South Africans, who did not think her retaliation was called for.

Mazzone stated that Gardee's qualifications got him 'nothing'. The exchange of words continued between the two and South Africans added their thoughts and opinions.
